Update NSE & MCC – Scot Gov meeting 23 March 17.00

Regarding the calls to the helpline and the shoddy service most of you are encountering – According to Scot Gov there have been just 368 calls to 0300 303 0660 and they are being answered within 36 seconds a few have dropped out!
Given my own attempts to get through and yours which have chatted about in the group this seems to be a poor quality fairy tale!
Scot Gov confirm this number is not manned at the weekend and they need to come back to me on the hours that calls are being answered Monday to Friday – yes, you heard that correctly!
Regarding the difficulty Geordie is having with Starling Bank – Scot Gov have no update but say UMi are looking and they are waiting for UMi to come back to them!! Clearly absolutely no sense of urgency and that has been made perfectly clear.
Apparently there are still 7200 applications still stuck in the process. There are still 1600 who were apparently invited to reapply but have not yet done so and of the 7200 it is highly likely that some will be invited to reapply.
The scheme closed to new application at 23.59 Tue 23rd March.
It is hoped that this will now bring about a quickening pace in the processing of the applications which are still still in the process. Time will tell.
Scot Gov still insist that applicants that have heard / received absolutely nothing other than the application confirmation number since they first submitted their application should call the helpline and enquire if their application is still in progress.
Those that feel they have made an error on their application should still use the online form and explain the error.
